We offer 6 standard double cabins and 2 rustic cabins, each accommodating up to 4 guests. With room for up to 20 people, Copalinga provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for individuals, couples, families, or small groups.

Ceiba Trail

 A short and accessible walk that leads to a majestic ceiba tree, a true icon of the tropical forest. Ideal for starting the day or winding down in the afternoon, surrounded by understory birds and fluttering butterflies.

Tinamou Trail

⏱️ 1 hour | 📏 1.5 km | 📍 1150 m | Difficulty: Moderate
 This trail winds through dense humid forest to a secluded viewpoint, where—if you’re lucky—you might spot the elusive Gray Tinamou, one of the reserve’s most secretive ground birds.

Viewpoint Trail

⏱️ 1.5 hours | 📏 2 km | 📍 1200–1300 m | Difficulty: Moderate
 A gradual climb through the sounds of the jungle, culminating in a natural lookout with sweeping views over the Zamora Valley. A perfect route for a sunset hike.

Waterfall Trail

⏱️ 2 hours | 📏 2.5 km | 📍 1100–1250 m | Difficulty: Moderate
 An immersive journey through both primary and secondary forest, ending at hidden waterfalls tucked deep in the greenery. Gentle slopes and small stream crossings add a touch of adventure. Along the way, the forest reveals its secrets—lichens draping the trees, suspended bromeliads, elusive frogs, and birdsongs that accompany every step. Perfect for those seeking a deep, sensory connection with nature.

Podocarpus Trail

 This trail provides a direct connection between Copalinga Lodge and Podocarpus National Park, opening the door to an extended and rewarding experience, rich in biodiversity and natural wonder. The scenery transforms gradually along the way, revealing habitat transitions and hosting rare and endemic species, many found nowhere else on Earth. An ideal half-day guided hike for naturalists, photographers, and birdwatchers looking for unforgettable encounters in one of Ecuador’s most biodiverse national parks.

How to get there?

From the Zamora bus terminal, take the road toward Podocarpus National Park until you reach the “La Chapetona” roundabout. Keep to the right and follow the turnoff toward Podocarpus National Park. Copalinga is located at kilometer 3 along this road.
